- Первая диаграмма самая интересная: по итогам 2008 г. в 2006 г. не было выделено отдельно "сланцевого газа", а в презентации по итогам 2012 г. в 2006 г. сланцевый газ нашли :)

Commodities that can be easily stored tend to be less volatile.
Price volatility is directly related to the ability to store a commodity.When commodities can be stored easily and inexpensively, traders arbitrage between current and future prices, reducing the volatility of both current and future prices.

This can be observed directly in natural gas markets: prices tend to be more volatile when storage levels are below average than when storage levels are above average. Not surprisingly electricity, which is the most difficult commodity to store, is also the most volatile. Copper, which is an easier commodity to store, exhibits the least price volatility. Natural gas can be stored - primarily in underground caverns – but the availability of usable sites is limited.
